Written by Alan Ball, “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” is a witty, relatable comedy that follows five bridesmaids who hide out in a bedroom during an elaborate wedding reception. Though they come from very different backgrounds, the women bond over their shared discomfort with the event, the bride, and the expectations placed upon them. As the evening unfolds, secrets are revealed, personalities clash, and unexpected connections are formed in this honest and humorous look at friendship, identity, and social pressure.
Directed by Matthew Smith, the CCC Theatre production showcases the talent and dedication of CCC students, bringing the characters and their stories to life on stage. Audiences can expect a performance filled with humor, candid moments, and sharp dialogue that resonates with a wide range of viewers.
“This production offers a fresh and entertaining perspective on relationships and expectations,” said Smith. “Our cast has worked hard to bring authenticity and energy to these characters, and we are excited to share their work with the community.”
This production provides a great opportunity to enjoy live theatre and support the arts at CCC. Due to mature themes and language, “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” may not be suitable for younger audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
