CCC Student Evalen Crafton Named Semi-Finalist for Prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship

Coffeyville, KS — Coffeyville Community College (CCC) is proud to announce that Evalen Crafton has been named a semi-finalist for the highly competitive Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, one of the nation’s most prestigious scholarships for community college students.
Crafton, a 2024 graduate of Field Kindley High School, has distinguished herself throughout her academic journey at CCC. She was named to the All-Kansas Academic Team and has been an active member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for two-year colleges. She also participated in CCC’s Honors Program, further demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence and leadership.
She completed her coursework at CCC in December and will continue her education at Kansas State
University this fall, where she plans to major in Biology. Following her undergraduate studies, Crafton intends to pursue further education to become a Physician Assistant.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship provides last-dollar funding of up to $55,000 per year to high-achieving community college students transferring to four-year institutions.
Scholarship recipients will be announced in May.
