Coffeyville Community College Announces 2026 Commencement Speaker

2026 CCC Commencement Speaker Sylvester "Sly" Williams

Coffeyville, KS — Coffeyville Community College (CCC) is proud to announce that Sylvester "Sly" Williams will serve as the keynote speaker for the College’s 2026 Commencement Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, May 9.

A CCC alumnus, former first-round NFL Draft pick, and Super Bowl Champion, Williams has transformed his journey of adversity into a powerful platform for leadership, mindset, and personal development. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, he overcame early academic struggles and personal challenges before walking on to a junior

college football program—beginning his collegiate career at Coffeyville Community College. His determination led to a full scholarship at the University of North Carolina and ultimately to a successful career at the highest level of professional football.

Following nearly a decade in the NFL, including a Super Bowl victory, Williams transitioned into entrepreneurship, real estate investing, and leadership development. He is now the founder of Champ Group Consulting, where he works with organizations to strengthen culture, develop leaders, and unlock the full potential of their teams.

Central to his message is the CHAMP framework—Commitment, Honesty, Accountability, Mindset, and Persistence—which he uses to inspire individuals to overcome adversity, take ownership of their lives, and perform at a championship level both personally and professionally.

Above all, Williams is a dedicated father, speaker, and mentor committed to helping others win in life.

CCC’s 2026 Commencement Ceremony will celebrate the achievements of this year’s graduating class while welcoming back one of its own to inspire the next generation of Red Ravens.
