CCC Children’s Summer Theatre Announces Auditions for 15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play

15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play Auditions

Coffeyville, KS — Coffeyville Community College Children’s Summer Theatre is inviting young performers ages 6–18 to audition for this summer’s production of 15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play, a fast-paced comedy filled with hilarious monologues, ensemble scenes, and unexpected twists. Students who graduated in May 2026 are also welcome to participate.

Written by Alan D. Haehnel, 15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play is a comedic parody that explores every possible reason someone might avoid the stage—while ironically being performed as a play itself. Since premiering in 2005, the show has been performed thousands of times across the United States and internationally. With a large cast and flexible roles, the production offers opportunities for performers of all experience levels.

Important dates include:

Parent Information Meeting: May 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Auditions: May 26 & 27 from 6–7:30 p.m.

Rehearsals: June 1–18, Monday through Thursday, from 1–4 p.m.
