COFFEYVILLE, KS — Coffeyville Community College’s Humanities Program will welcome singer-songwriter, composer, and performer James Dean Kindle for a FREE community performance at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.
Based in Pendleton, Oregon, Kindle creates music rooted in the contemporary American West while drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions.
His work blends country, folk, jazz, Latin, ambient, and experimental influences, moving between traditional storytelling and atmospheric soundscapes.
Kindle has released multiple albums and performed throughout the Pacific Northwest. Beyond his work as a recording and performing artist, he has created original music for film, podcasts, public art, and orchestral performances.
His diverse musical influences and creative approach offer audiences a performance that explores both the traditions and evolving sounds of the American West.
The performance is part of CCC’s ongoing Humanities Program, which gives the community opportunities to experience artists and performers representing a wide range of cultures, disciplines, and musical traditions. All Humanities Program performances are FREE and open to the community.
