COFFEYVILLE, KS — Coffeyville Community College’s Humanities Program will welcome Music in Common for a FREE community performance at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre.
Music in Common is a genre-bending collective that blends Americana, hip-hop, and soul to create meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
Since 2005, the nonprofit organization has performed for thousands of people in more than 400 communities around the world, appearing everywhere from intimate house concerts to college campuses and major festival stages.
Music in Common uses music and facilitated conversation as a way to bring people together across differences. Its performances are designed not only to entertain audiences, but also to encourage connection, understanding, and meaningful conversation.
The group’s unique combination of Americana, hip-hop, and soul creates a dynamic musical experience while highlighting the power of music to connect people from different backgrounds and perspectives.
The performance is part of CCC’s ongoing Humanities Program, which brings diverse artists and experiences to campus for the benefit of students and the surrounding community. All Humanities Program performances are FREE and open to the community.
