COFFEYVILLE, KS — The Coffeyville Community College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams once again traded the soccer field for the vineyard this past Saturday, volunteering their time to help with the annual grape harvest at Osage Springs Vineyard.
Ten CCC soccer players participated in the harvest, working for a total of four hours alongside vineyard staff and community members. The teams were originally scheduled to assist with the harvest on Sunday as well, but their work was completed ahead of schedule.
“It’s always great to help out in the community when we are able to. We have enjoyed helping at the harvest the past couple of years, and hopefully we keep the relationship going,” said Head Men's Soccer Coach Steven Harrison.
CCC soccer has participated in the Osage Springs Vineyard harvest for the past two years, continuing a relationship that provides student-athletes with an opportunity to serve the local community outside of competition.
This volunteer effort is another example of how CCC student-athletes contribute beyond the playing field. This past year, both Raven soccer programs also demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence.
The CCC Men’s Soccer program was named the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year after posting a 3.85 team grade point average during the 2025-2026 academic year. CCC Women’s Soccer also earned national academic recognition, finishing 10th in the NJCAA Academic Team rankings.
In addition, 126 CCC student-athletes earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference All-Academic honors for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
From the classroom to the soccer field and into the community, CCC’s student-athletes continue to demonstrate the hard work, teamwork, and commitment that define the Red Raven experience.
