Eta Gamma Members Assist Coffeyville's Brown Mansion

Eta Gamma members at Coffeyville Community College honored their Service Hallmark when they completed their first service project of the academic year at Coffeyville's historic Brown Mansion.  Members gathered at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, August 29, to clean flower beds at the mansion's caretaker cottage.

The members raked leaves that had filled corners of the porch, removed mounds of dead leaves from the flower beds, pruned ivy bushes that had overgrown  the border, and removed saplings that had grown up in the beds.  After the ground was prepared, members planted white and yellow mums in the urns and flower beds to add fall color to the mansion grounds.

This project was in conjunction with a mansion fundraising project that was held later that evening.  Vice President of Service Evalyse Azuara served as project chairman.
