CCC BPA students qualify for national competition

Several students at Coffeyville Community College qualified for national competition after placing at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference held on Feb. 17-18 in Wichita. Kara Bidleman qualified for nationals in three individual events. Bidleman placed sixth in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting, sixth in Computer Security and was a top ten finisher in Information Technology Concepts. Cindy Hurd also placed in three events individually. Hurd wound up third in Application Interview Skills, and was a top ten finisher in Administrative Support Concepts and Management/Marketing/Human Resources. Bidleman and Hurd along with Kristi Jacobs placed first in the Presentation Management Team competition. Jeremy Willard will also be heading to nationals. Willard placed first in Network Administration Using Microsoft and third in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting. “These students qualify for nationals in Washington, D.C., May 4-8,” said BPA sponsor Tina Logan. “I am very proud of their hard work.”
