Students at Coffeyville Community College participated in the "One Day Without Shoes" awareness event on Tuesday, April 10.

The annual CCC Plant Sale has been set for April 20-21 at the CCC Greenhouse.

The sound of music will be in the air on the CCC campus this spring as the music department has announced the dates to three spring concerts.

Kansas native, Doug Harvey was drawn to Celtic music as a young man. The sound of vibrating strings led him to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kan. where he first heard authentic Irish music and he has not been the same since.

Enrollment is now underway for the next session of Adult Basic Education classes on the campus of Coffeyville Community College.

Coffeyville Community College will host the North American Colleges & Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference April 12-14, 2012. With the help of local volunteers and sponsors, CCC will host 13 contests that will test student skills in the agricultural field.

John Sherman has been a performer of traditional and Celtic music for the last two decades.

Registration is now open for the 2012 CCC Children’s Summer Theatre Camp. This year’s production is "A Year With Frog and Toad Kids" which will be performed on June 22 at 4:30 p.m. The cost of the camp is $25 which includes a free Theatre Camp t-shirt.

Coffeyville Community College recognized Caitlin Shepard as the March Phi Theta Kappa Member of the Month at their monthly Board of Trustees meeting on March 26th.

The Electrical Tech Program has acquired a conveyor trainer system through a grant to enhance industrial electrical lessons, including pneumatic, VFD, and PLC controls.

CCC Columbus Technical Campus Collision Repair Program has once again received a sizeable donation from 3M.

Members of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College were among the large crowd at Tulsa University’s Donald W. Reynolds Center for the March 27 Presidential Lecture Series featuring journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward.

The Coffeyville Community College Foundation has received donations to fund the Virginia Noble Teaching Scholarship. Mrs. Noble was a longtime Coffeyville resident and a big fan of CCC Arts and Athletic programs.

LaToya Johnson a student at Coffeyville Community College has been named a 2012 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Silver Scholar. Latoya Johnson graduated from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville. She is the daughter of Brishawn Johnson and the late Floyd Johnson.

Kitty Donohoe will entertain with ‘Songs of Michigan and the Great Lakes’ in a folk song and story-based program that focuses on several unique cultural and historical elements of the region, including lumbering, the early fur trade and voyageurs, mining and lighthouses.

Coffeyville Community College Music and Theatre Departments will begin selling raffle tickets on March 26th to students, faculty, staff, and the public for a chance for two people to fly in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre with the ZFX Flying Company.

Members of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College participated in the Kansas Region Phi Theta Kappa Convention March 9-11 at the Double Tree Hotel in Wichita. The event saw members of the local chapter receive six first place trophies and numerous certificates of Honorable Mention and Distinguished Recognition.

Jason Bolt, CCC Paramedic Instructor, has been appointed to the Kansas EMS Education Task Force.

Coffeyville Community College Instrumental Music Director Jeremy Kirk has started a West African Drum Ensemble this spring.

Coffeyville Community College would like to invite all prospective and current students and parents to a Financial Aid Fair on March 15, 2012 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Student Success Center in the Graham Library.

Eric Lambert has been playing guitar professionally for over forty years. Influenced by Duane Allman and Dickey Betts at an early age, Lambert discovered country and bluegrass music through the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band album "Will the Circle Be Unbroken."

Members and alumni members of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College met February 17-18 for their winter retreat and planning session.

Coffeyville Community College (CCC) will offer a Scuba Diving class starting March 26, 2012. Scuba diving will be taught in Coffeyville with students’ open water certification to be completed in Beaver Lake, Arkansas in May.
