Aaron Burke is currently Director of Music at Coffeyville Community College. He holds a Master of Music Education from Wichita State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Kansas State University. Mr. Burke also holds level 1 and 2 Kodaly certificates from the Organization of American Kodaly Educators. Aaron has over 15 years of experience directing secondary and community choirs, collegiate and community bands, and church ensembles. Mr. Burke’s ensembles have performed at numerous invitational festivals including the Kansas State Fair and Branson on Stage Live. In 2022, his ensembles performed at Carnegie Hall with Manhattan Concert Productions.

Mr. Burke is a sought after clinician and adjudicator, having judged several middle level and high school level festivals. Aaron has been a guest conductor for the Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra and the Pioneer League Middle Level Honor Choir.

In 2022, he presented at the Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop. His clinic was titled “Community! THE Definition of a Successful Program,” and focused on establishing a welcome and inclusive environment in the music department, as well as establishing intergenerational ensembles for students to engage with their surrounding community members. Mr. Burke has a featured article in the National Association for Music Education’s September 2025 issue of the Music Educators Journal. His article is titled “School-Driven Intergenerational Choirs: A Solution to the Decline of Community Choral Singing in Rural America.”
