The Coffeyville Community College Theatre Department will open the 2016-2017 season with the popular Off-Broadway play "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani. Performances at CCC will be Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. Admission is free.

On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream about romantic relationships.

Overseeing the production is CCC’s Theatre Director, Caitlin Almond. Almond joined the Raven Family in August of 2016. Almond was a student at Coffeyville Community College from 2007 to 2009 and participated in several productions under the director of former CCC Theatre Director Mark Frank.

Almond is excited to get the first production of the season underway. “I’m excited for Almost, Maine,” said Almond. “The show is very relatable and I think the audience will be able to find some sort of connection to it.”

The cast for CCC's production includes:

Tyler Dougan as Ginette and Sandrine, Alex Martin as Pete, Shelby Fausnaught as Glory and Gayle, Christopher Tice as East and Dave, Ryan Garrett as Jimmy and Randy, Rebecca Bell as Hope and a waitress, Christopher Ramsey as Steve, Elia Saucedo as Marvalyn, Alex Martin as Lendall, George Celestine as Chad, Mondriel Andrews as Phil, Brandi Thomas as Marci and Alexx Parsons as Rhonda.
