Charlie Roth

Guitarist, one-man band, Bard of the Great Plains and Emissary of the Prairie, Charlie Roth plays a mix of originals and puts his own twist on well-known songs that will sometimes bring a tear to your eye and sometimes get your feet stomping. A consummate entertainer with seven European tours under his belt, Roth's motto is have a good time every time.

Roth has been making his living playing music for over 30 years and has recorded albums with such greats as Sam Bush and Michael Bland. Americana, Folk, Blues, Country and Celtic, Roth is a unique blend of all these genres.

Roth is best at telling a story with his rich baritone vocal, acoustic guitar, rack harmonica, and foot percussion. His fifth album, "Broken Ground," reached #6 on the Euro-Americana charts and continues to get air play all over the world.  A consummate showman, an entertainer with countless gigs under his belt, Roth has mastered the art of playing and singing from his heart, exuding the sheer joy of making great music which can be felt by everyone who is connected to that magical and medicinal spiritual grace.

Roth will be performing on the CCC campus on Tuesday, October 3.  The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC.  The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Performing Arts Theatre.
