When it comes to comedy and magic, Pete Walterscheid takes great pride in what he presents. He jokingly refers to himself as “world famous in certain parts of the Midwest.” He is a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Society of American Magicians, and the prestigious Academy of Magical Arts.

Pete's comedic talents with magic has earned him first place in regional and national stage competitions as well as being voted “Best Close-Up Magician” of the Kansas City area in recent years.  He has been awarded a magician membership to the Magic Castle in Hollywood and keeps busy performing for banquets, festivals, corporate functions and private shows. Pete enjoys performing behind a local bar and showcases his magic frequently at the Kicks Comedy Theater in the Westport area of Kansas City.  A latecomer to the entertainment scene, these last few years have been a whirlwind of activity for him, and he is thrilled to share his performance whenever possible. Be it on stage or in the spectator’s hands, Pete’s magic delights and thrills. You can’t help but become a part of the excitement and fun that "Magic by Pete" extends to his audiences.

Pete will perform at Coffeyville Community College on Nov. 6 as part of the college's Humanities Project. The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC.  The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Performing Arts Theatre.
