Coffeyville Community College will be hosting its second performance in the Humanities line-up with Shelby Eicher featuring the Hot Club Happy Hour Band - Gypsy Swing Trio Concert at 7 pm in the Spencer / Rounds Theatre on Tuesday, August 30th. This show is free to the public. Shelby Eicher is a legendary Fiddle player whose resume includes shows worldwide, TV appearances, movie scores and work with some legendary musicians from classical to country to the classroom. As a member of Roy Clark’s band for 15 years, Shelby recorded five albums with Roy and appeared numerous times on The Tonight Show and Hee Haw. Currently, he performs 20 times per month and teaches fiddle, mandolin, and guitar to 30 students. Shelby grew up in Northern Ohio playing square dances with his mom, dad, and grandmother. The band consisted of his grandmother and the Fulton County Sand Shifters. Instruments: Fiddle, Viola, Chin-cello, Mandolin, Mandola, Mando-cello, Alto Guitar The Hot Club Happy Hour Band will feature: Shelby Eicher – Fiddle, Clay Welch – Guitar, and Dean Demerritt – Bass.
