Songs of the American West

Award winning singer/songwriter John Lowell will take his audience on a tour of the American West, with stories about cowboys,

stage robberies, soldiers, and the landscapes that inspire him. Lowell lives in Montana and has worked as a cowboy. He brings a historic knowledge to his songs and his “Angus MacKenzie” was awarded “Cowboy Song of the Year” by the International Western Music Association in 2022. John has also won Grand Prize in the prestigious Hazel Dickens Songwriting Contest for his song “Richmond.”

 

His most recent release, “She’s Leaving Cheyenne” was named Number One Album of the Year by Wyoming Public Radio.
