Face Covering Guidance

At Coffeyville Community College, we are committed to providing a safe educational environment and are taking steps to protect others. We are asking all Ravens to wear an acceptable face covering to help keep the Raven Family safe by stopping the spread of COVID-19 and other infections.  Face coverings should be worn anytime you cannot maintain 6’ social distancing, in all classrooms, and in all high traffic areas.

What is an acceptable face covering?

  • Disposable face masks are acceptable
  • Reusable face masks with 2 layers of material is preferred. However, N95 masks are best.  Reusable facemasks should be washed frequently.
  • Neck Gaiters are acceptable, but it is recommended to fold the gaiter over for two layers of material over the nose and mouth. Neck gaiters should be washed frequently.
  • Bandanas are acceptable, but it is recommended to fold the bandana over for two layers of material over the nose and mouth. Bandanas must fully cover the nose and mouth area.  Bandanas should be washed frequently.
  • Face shields are acceptable when worn with a face mask or in specific situations where no one is within 6’ of you.
  • Pulling a shirt up over the nose and mouth is not acceptable.
  • Face coverings with derogatory, offensive, or inappropriate language is NOT acceptable for the Raven Family.

When is a face covering required?

  • Face coverings are required in all classrooms and high traffic areas at all times.
  • Face coverings are required in any area when you cannot maintain 6’ social distancing.
  • Face coverings are required in food service areas.
