Residential Policy

All unmarried, full-time students under 21 years of age are required to live in on-campus housing unless granted a written exception by the Dean of Students. Exceptions will be granted if a student lives at a parent's or legal guardian's permanent home within a sixty mile radius of Coffeyville, or if the student is considered a legal guardian for a minor child. Students wishing to be considered for an exception who do not meet the exception requirements must submit in writing the reason for their request to the Dean of Students. Their request will be reviewed. A letter stating whether their request will be approved or denied will be issued to the student. Students must sign a housing contract before being allowed to register for classes. There is no requirement for students to live on campus during the summer semester. A student registered for less than 12 semester hours of classes may live on campus.
