Rochelle Welton

Rochelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University and maintains certifications in Trauma Nursing Core (TNCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). She has worked as a registered nurse since 2006 and brings experience in orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, family practice, obstetrics, urgent care, and emergency medicine.

After earning her BSN, she began her nursing career at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she worked for three years on orthopedic/neurology and pediatric units. Upon returning to Coffeyville, she joined Coffeyville Family Practice Clinic, working alongside Dr. Melissa Mackintosh and Dr. James Christensen. She later continued her career in the OB department at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

In 2011, her family relocated to New York while her husband served with the U.S. Army at Fort Drum. After three years, they moved to Manhattan, Kansas, where he completed his active-duty service at Fort Riley. In 2015, the family returned to southeast Kansas, and she worked at Priority Health Urgent Care before joining the emergency department at Labette Health in Independence, Kansas. She served in emergency medicine there until 2023, when she joined the staff at Coffeyville Community College. She is proud to be part of the Red Raven family and hopes to continue serving CCC students and the community throughout the remainder of her nursing career.
